It goes without saying that a lubricant is used for the lubrication of the bicycle chain. It is used for reducing friction and wear and tear as well as for power transmission, cooling, vibration damping, sealing effects and corrosion protection. In principle, any lubricant for bicycle chains consists of a base fluid - usually an oil - and other ingredients, called additives.

How do you lubricate the chain optimally? How do you apply the chain oil correctly?

Every effective lubrication requires cleaning. This principle also applies to bicycle chain lubrication with bicycle chain oil. All manufacturers of bicycle chain lubricants, such as Dynamic, Rohloff, Dr. Wack, Shimano and innobike, probably agree on this. Here, we will show you the application of innobike 106 CHAIN FLUID PLUS, a lubricant that is particularly suitable for the long-lasting lubrication of your chain and has been specifically developed for this purpose.

First, let's have a look at the special characteristics of the highly effective 106 CHAIN FLUID PLUS:

It dissolves dirt, it cleans, lubricates and protects the chain in one step. This is ensured by a new lubricant combination.
Dry conditions: The touch-dry, non-sticky lubricating film provides for low dirt and dust adhesion. Due to the dry surface of the bicycle chain, excessive soiling inside the chain is prevented.
Our tip: The additional brush attachment provides mechanical support during the cleaning process by forcing the lubricant precisely into the inside of the chain and, on top of that, spray mist is avoided.
The chain oil infiltrates moisture and so the bike can be used immediately after washing.

Easy and efficient application:

Place the oil bottle with the brush attachment on the small sprocket in the rear.
Turn the pedals backwards in freewheel mode and spray continuously until the fluid drips at the large bottom bracket sprocket.
Allow the oil to take effect for 4 to 6 hours. Meanwhile, the cleaner contained in the fluid or oil evaporates and a thin, touch-dry lubricating film remains on the chain.
